Job Summary
The Product Marketing Specialist-Retail North America will own and deliver the Retail Product go-to-market strategy, execution, and postmortem analysis. This key role will influence internal stakeholders to execute the product marketing strategy that helps to meet our customer needs and in turn, support our business growth. It will appeal to project-minded, detail-oriented, proactive, and curious marketer with a natural desire to make the complex simple.
Principal Responsibilities
Implement effective Retail go-to-market strategies for new products.
Lead cross-functional teams within Sales, Innovation, Product Management, Product Compliance, Supply Chain, and others to manage launch readiness end-to-end for new Retail products and line expansions.
Develop Retail-relevant product messaging, product images and other digital sales and marketing tools (sell sheets, catalogs, videos, manuals, packaging and labels, training package, etc.).
Complete all required steps in the product set up processes (both internally and externally) including, but not limited to, product ID creation, UPC codes, BOM details, forecasting, packaging requirements, compliance, demand planning, etc.
Proof all Retail product marketing assets for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established data standards.
Manage the Retail Product Roadmap, identifying new opportunities, competitive gaps, market trends and customer needs in Canada and the USA leveraging data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and maximize ROI.
Own the stage-gate process for retail
Support Sales with providing data and pitch presentations for product line reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years B2B product marketing or project management professional in the retail channel (preferably the Home Improvement and plumbing Industries)
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business.
Project management experience.
Previous experience working with PIM preferred.
Previous experience with Retail product set up process preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills; stand-up presentation and training skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
