Overview

Exagen is a patient-focused and discovery-driven life sciences company dedicated to transforming the care continuum for patients suffering from debilitating and chronic autoimmune diseases. Our goal is to enable rheumatologists to improve care for patients through the differential diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of complex autoimmune and autoimmune-related diseases, including lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. By leveraging our proprietary Cell-Bound Complement Activation Products, or CB-CAPs, technology, we help get to the real cause of a patient’s symptoms and guide their journey to improved health.

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and product adoption. As a Product Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the messaging and creative direction, conducting thorough market research, and implementing multi-channel marketing campaigns.

 

Location note: This is a hybrid role that requires on-site work at our Carlsbad office. Candidates must live within commuting distance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and refine product messaging to effectively communicate key value propositions to our customers
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research to ensure product marketing is aligned with customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate on creative to create compelling visual assets, including graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.
  • Manage public relations efforts, including press releases and media outreach.
  • Drive social media management and content creation to enhance presence and engage with targeted audiences.
  • Coordinate the production of marketing media, videos and podcasts, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and objectives.
  • Manage the development and production of print materials, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with web development teams to ensure the website reflects updated product information and aligns with marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze digital engagement metrics to optimize campaigns.
  • Implement website strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive website traffic.
  • Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns, monitoring performance and adjusting strategies to achieve campaign objectives.
  • Utilize CRM tools for customer segmentation and targeted communication.
  • Analyze data from various platforms to derive actionable insights for marketing optimization.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in marketing, business, or life sciences.
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, sales or related field in healthcare (e.g., pharma, biotech, device, or diagnostics).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term marketing strategies and program plans.
  • Ability to apply creative and forward-thinking ideas to work initiatives.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience driving projects to completion.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.

Salary range: $110,000 - $150,000
