Position Summary
Extu is seeking a strategic, market-facing Product Marketing Manager to own how our platform is positioned, differentiated, and brought to market. This role is responsible for defining and operationalizing our messaging architecture, category narrative, competitive positioning, and go-to-market strategy—ensuring Extu speaks with one unified, compelling voice across all audiences.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact individual contributor role. You will not directly manage team members, but you will serve as the strategic positioning owner and a key execution partner to the Director of Growth Marketing—translating strategy into actionable programs that drive awareness, pipeline, and revenue.
You will ensure that Extu’s Partner Experience Platform is clearly differentiated, enterprise-ready, and consistently represented across marketing, sales, analyst relations, and executive communications.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Positioning & Category Leadership
- Own and evolve Extu’s messaging architecture, ensuring clarity and consistency across audiences
- Define and advance Extu’s category narrative (Channel Intelligence Platform)
- Develop differentiated value propositions for enterprise buyers, partners, and influencers
- Lead competitive positioning strategy, including battlecards, differentiation frameworks, and market intelligence
- Ensure consistent positioning across marketing campaigns, sales materials, PR, analyst communications, and executive messaging
- Serve as a core stakeholder in Extu’s Client Panel program, ensuring platform positioning, messaging, and roadmap concepts are vetted through real customer feedback.
- Partner with Program Management to organize and drive Client Panel activities—coordinating agendas, shaping discussion topics, sharing roadmap updates, and synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations for Product, Sales, and Marketing.
Go-to-Market & Launch Strategy
- Own launch strategy for new products, features, and enhancements
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans in partnership with Growth Marketing, Product, Sales, and Leadership
- Align pricing and packaging with market positioning and value narrative
- Coordinate product launches, announcements, and company news in partnership with PR and content teams
- Ensure seamless cross-functional execution from planning through post-launch measurement
Sales Enablement & Revenue Support
- Build and maintain core sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, one-pagers, competitive battlecards, and objection-handling guides
- Partner closely with Sales Leadership to refine messaging based on buyer insights and field feedback
- Support executive thought leadership and strategic account messaging
- Ensure sales teams are equipped with clear, differentiated narratives that accelerate pipeline and win rates
Analyst Engagement & Alignment
- Own relationships with key industry analysts (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, IDC), including regular briefings, inquiries, and strategic updates to ensure accurate positioning of our platform and roadmap.
- Develop and maintain core analyst messaging materials, including briefing decks, competitive differentiation narratives, and market landscape documentation.
- Synthesize analyst research and feedback into actionable insights for Product, Sales, and Executive Leadership to inform roadmap, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
- Drive participation in analyst evaluations and reports (e.g., Waves, Magic Quadrants), coordinating cross-functional inputs and managing submission timelines.
- Monitor analyst coverage and competitive mentions, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and perception gaps in the market.
Campaign Alignment & Execution Partnership
- Partner with the Director of Growth Marketing to ensure campaigns reinforce core positioning and category narrative
- Collaborate with channel owners (paid media, SEO/GEO, social, marketing ops) to maintain alignment across integrated campaigns
- Drive messaging consistency across demand generation, events, PR, and content programs
Measurement & Optimization
- Define and track KPIs tied to launches, positioning effectiveness, PR impact, and sales enablement adoption
- Analyze campaign, pipeline, and engagement performance to continuously refine messaging and GTM strategy
- Leverage marketing automation and CRM tools to support reporting and insights
- Post Launch: oversee customer response, reacting as necessary to any feedback. Pursue additional growth campaigns and experiments or suggest potential improvements to future iterations of the product.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with significant exposure to product marketing, positioning, and integrated campaigns
- Proven ability to develop messaging frameworks and bring products to market
- Strong writing and editorial judgment with experience guiding and approving copy
- Experience supporting sales enablement initiatives and executive thought leadership
- Experience leveraging marketing and analytics tools; Salesforce preferred
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth organization
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
Nice to Have
- Experience in SaaS, technology, or B2B services
- Familiarity with pricing and packaging strategy
- Existing media or analyst relationships in relevant industries
- Experience shaping or defining emerging technology categories
Physical Requirements
- Travel requirement – infrequent
- Ability to lift 10 pounds (laptop for work)
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time at a computer.
- Move about inside the office for meetings and to access office equipment
- Communicate verbally with clients through phone and call center software.

- Hybrid work schedule with 3 days (Tue/Wed/Thurs) in office required.
