The Team:

We are looking for an innovative research professional to join the Market Intelligence (MI) team within Corporate Strategy. In this role, the Market Intelligence Research Specialist is expected to operate at high velocity, researching, authoring, and delivering strategic insights to Nasdaq’s executive leadership. This role will be critical in delivering insights that span enterprise competitive intelligence (CI), non-traditional disruptive companies, and emerging technologies and trends analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the MI & broader corporate strategy team to craft and execute strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Nasdaq’s business units to enhance intelligence and insights for maximum strategic impact.
  • Leverage diverse data sources and analytical tools to collect and synthesize strategic intelligence.
  • Create presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations derived from market intelligence to enhance decision-making.
  • Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, strategic partnerships, and other long-term impacts across Nasdaq’s ecosystem.
  • Regularly evaluate and enhance market intelligence methodologies, processes, and tools for better efficiency and effectiveness, integrating Generative AI where feasible.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in research, market intelligence, strategy consulting, or corporate strategy, preferably in capital markets, financial services, or fintech.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills required; experience in writing and publishing white papers and articles preferred.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with a solid understanding of the financial services industry and Nasdaq's role within it.
  • Thrives in a complex corporate environment, solving problems swiftly under tight deadlines, and maintains a positive, adaptable mindset amid ambiguity and pressure.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset, adept at structured problem-solving across complex issues, capable of managing multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
  • Education Required: B.A. or B.S. in a business-related discipline.
  • Experience Required: 4-6 years of experience.

The base pay range for this role is $110,000 - $135,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
