Services Marketing Specialist, Customer Marketing (Remote)

We are looking for a Services (Product) Marketing Manager to join our customer marketing team. In this new role, you will lead aspects of post-sale marketing focused on educating, inspiring, and empowering Splunk users to leverage Splunk Services to aid customer adoption. You will lead efforts to deliver programs that guide customers throughout their journey by engaging with content, training resources and the Splunk Community, partnering with Marketing and Customer Success teams to reimagine the customer experience and help build an even bigger community of successful Splunk customers.

Impact to the business (Internal Only)

This CS PMM role will work with the Splunk Education team to put into market new marketing programs and campaigns designed to support services pipeline ($72M) activities and/or increasing the utilization of education and training resources to drive better customer adoption. The role will be responsible for executing the campaign strategy and design, content development and liaise with CS Marketing Programs lead to execute campaigns, as well as partner with Community Manager to embed activations and drive customer engagement directly within the Splunk Community.

Responsibilities

  • Executes strategy for marketing campaigns on behalf of Splunk’s Customer Success Marketing function to help customers, at all stages, be successful with our products and services
  • Raise our reputation and extend reach across our customer base, and broader industry, to support Splunk’s commitment to world-class customer success
  • Identify key personas and audience segmentation based on customer insights and analytics aligned to campaign strategy goals
  • Support value messaging and positioning for the services portfolio, launch new offerings and create integrated, customer-focused campaigns that reinforce the value of Splunk Services and/or guide customers to consume services (e.g. education, subscription services)
  • Communicate and coordinate with key business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, manage against key deadlines and review content and attribution to business and customer impact
  • Ownership over customer-facing content development to support Splunk Education marketing pipeline and expansion motions and/or work with 3rd parties and agencies to facilitate other aspects of content creation
  • Create new digital and/or in-person touchpoints that enable customers to increasingly self-serve with Splunk, and engage with peers via the Splunk Community and other forums
  • Report on results, in partnership with Marketing Ops, to understand audience reach, engagement and attribution to customer/business impact

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in Product Marketing and/or Services Marketing, Customer Success or post-sale marketing functions, preferably at a software company
  • Education / enablement technology background is a plus
  • Minimum 3+ years experience and/or exposure to multiple GTM functions in a fast-growing software / tech organization
  • Strategic thinker who also can take on ownership to get stuff done
  • Strong and effective communicator
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment, meet deadlines, brings a versatile skill set and have a bias for action
  • Consistent cross-functional collaborator, and business partner, directly contributing to achieve overall objectives
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment

Note: Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $104,000.00 - 143,000.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $94,400.00 - 129,800.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $84,800.00 - 116,600.00 per year
