Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst

Remote (United States)

The HubSpot Competitive Intelligence (CI) team is looking for a Senior Analyst to join our quickly growing organization. In this role, you will report into Product Marketing, working with a small but growing CI team. You will lead the charge in building CI assets that support sales, marketing, and leadership. This means you will build a solid foundational understanding of how HubSpot differentiates against our key competitors and produce iterative content that helps our sales and sales engineers succeed in the field. Further, the role entails deep collaboration with key internal stakeholders, working cross-functionally with marketing, product, product marketing, sales, pre-sales, and sales enablement. The CI team has built an amazing foundation and currently supports 3,000+ sales, service and pre-sales staff in addition to the entire marketing and leadership organization.


Key Responsibilities Include


  • Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis and research to support marketing, sales, and leadership initiatives
  • Monitor competitor activity and analyze their go-to-market strategies, product offerings, and positioning
  • Identify new market opportunities and understand key customer needs and trends
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of HubSpot’s products and differentiation in the market
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to develop and execute strategies to win against competitors
  • Monitor industry trends and analyze their impact on HubSpot’s business
  • Write clear and concise reports detailing your findings and recommendations
  • Present your findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest competitive intelligence tools and methods
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What You Should Have


  • Technology experience in Enterprise SaaS companies, technology consulting companies OR system integrators/ISVs in a product management, solutions consultant, business analyst or pre-sales role
  • Experience in competitive intelligence or product marketing
  • Outstanding ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Experience engaging directly with enterprise customers and partners
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Indirect experience working closely with engineering, product management or solutions consultants in a business analyst role would also be considered a strong candidate
  • Experience in CRM, Marketing Automation, DXP/CMS areas is an added advantage


Cash compensation range: 85000-127000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
