Product Marketing Support Specialist

Location: Leesburg, IN

Reports To: Product Marketing Manager

Position Duties:

  • Coordinate the timelines and development of labeling and packaging projects.
  • Maintain the product GDSN / GS1 product systems.
  • Manage various SharePoint data collection and process management systems tied to products and pricing.
  • Assist with the development of new products including tracking new product sales and product life cycle sales history.
  • Research industry and consumer trends for various pricing projects.
  • Maintain a proper archive of inactive products and supporting documentation.
  • Update price lists and supporting price materials.
  • Assist in executing tactics identified in the annual Marketing Plan.
  • Assist in planning and organizing product and price-focused training and events for internal customers.
  • Serve as a backup for the Front Desk position
  • Maintain customer portals as assigned.
  • Microsoft D365 data entry and maintenance for products and pricing.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of product management and market research
  • Ability to respond verbally or in writing to many different situations
  • Ability to prioritize and organize duties
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external sources
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and develop creative solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects simultaneously in an effective manner
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines in fast-paced work environments
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and databases such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Basic math and measurement skills

The knowledge and skills identified are acquired through the completion of a college degree, preferably Marketing or equivalent experience. Knowledge of the Maple Leaf Farms company processes is a strong asset. Knowledge of the food and agricultural industry is helpful. Work is primarily sedentary but moving equipment and lifting to 20 pounds may be occasionally required. The work for this position is carried out on-site at the WHQ of MLF in Leesburg, IN; flexible work-from-home options may be considered upon agreement with the immediate supervisor. Travel for this position is very limited but may be occasionally required.
