Product Marketing Mgr

Summary: Cambro Manufacturing is looking for a Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about delivering the most important needs and wants of our customers. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle while providing support for product development globally. Our ideal candidate has a customer-first mindset while managing, developing, and implementing marketing activities for assigned product categories and market segments. The ability to analyze brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends within the market to develop strategies will be the key to success. Essential Functions:
    • Develop and implement marketing activities for all for all products that fall within assigned categories throughout product lifecycle, from inception to maturity; develop marketing campaigns, training materials and sales collateral to support assigned product categories.
    • Develop Sales Plan/Product Positioning Document and related positioning strategies to support new product sales launches, existing product relaunches, campaigns, and trade shows; concept, write and coordinate marketing launch communications and sample kits; develop training materials.
    • Work collaboratively with Digital Marketing team on marketing campaigns and new product launches, to ensure timely and consistent messaging on blogs, videos, testimonials, and social media platforms.
    • Develop and implement voice of the customer (VOC) initiatives to gather customer feedback and insights to improve product offerings and customer experience.
    • Develop and conduct product training via in person, virtual trainings, webinars, and online training modules for new product launches as well as existing product categories.
    • Point person for segment related trade associations and responsible for all marketing communication strategies and trainings for industry events; attend trade shows; participate in segment and industry groups; keep current on industry and market segment trends.
    • Monitor and analyze competitors’ products, marketing strategies, pricing, and market share to identify opportunities and threats, ensuring Cambro maintains a competitive edge in the market.
    • Work collaboratively with Global Sales and New Product Development teams to identify specific market needs, product solutions, sales opportunities, and promotions for new products and/or existing product improvements, enhancements, and line extensions.
    • Responsible for strategic planning and project management, including financial budget responsibility for segments managed.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to create initial new product idea sheet and update with changes/revisions throughout the NPD process, including performance characteristics, sales forecast, QC criteria and target market price.
    • Act as a liaison between Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and other cross functional departments to ensure smooth communication and alignment of goals and strategies.
    • Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization
    • Executes each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.
    • Follows all safety procedures required in work are, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous condisitions.
    • Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
    • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
    • Follows all department quality standards/criteria. Raises concerns and issues to immediate manager.
    • Understand and demonstrates Cambro company culture; displays company core values (Safety, Quality, Respsct, and Service).
    • Understands department's key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.
    • Other duties as assigned.

  • BA or BS with emphasis in Marketing or Communications strongly preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of Marketing experience required.
  • Compelling and engaging written communication skills: creative writing, technical writing, and presentation development.
  • Excellent presentations skills required, must be able to speak in front of large and small groups; enthusiastic, passionate, and persuasive.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills; must be able to take ownership of a project and manage through obstacles.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage projects and financial budgets.
  • Detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and handle rapidly changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proven computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI) and prior Marketing Automation/CRM experience required.
  • Must possess the ability to accept constructive feedback.
  • Ability to travel overnight for trade shows and segment events.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Second language highly desirable.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative cloud tools including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator highly desired.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and creating content.
