Product Marketing Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

As a CPI Product Marketing Manager, you will occupy a key role in working with and for a company that builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects and secures the world’s digital technology. Day to day, you will be a leader on CPI’s Global Marketing team, responsible for telling the world (and our industry, partners, and own company) the story of CPI’s global products and solutions. You will act as CPI’s chief product marketing ambassador, responsible for advocating the various feature sets and benefits of the company’s comprehensive product portfolio. Additionally, you will be charged with crafting the strategy around the messaging and marketing for new product launches.


As an individual contributor reporting directly to CPI’s Senior Director, Global Marketing, you will be an integral part of a small team and play a significant role in being the company’s eyes, ears, and voice of the customer, driving innovation for the entire CPI company and product portfolio.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

As CPI’s Product Marketing Manager, you’ll support the company’s success by:

  1. Providing expert understanding of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry
  2. Creating a vision and strategy for how CPI’s various units can grow their share of the market, including physical infrastructure, software, and solutions for all markets.
  3. Lead core team for product launches, developing a plan for going to market with new product, implementing that plan and analyzing results to improve future launches.
  4. Conduct primary and secondary research, analyze information and data, synthesize, and create compelling content for executive presentations, battle cards, feature matrices, pricing comparisons.
  5. Defining relevant markets and targeting end users, channel partners and contractors to be served by the company’s product portfolio.
  6. Creating and building key parts of the product roadmap based on key market trends and compelling opportunities that differentiate CPI as a market leader
  7. Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business.
  8. Being the voice of the customer in driving innovation for the CPI portfolio, translating that knowledge into an executable go-to-market (GTM) strategy. 
  9. Representing CPI as product and solutions expert at industry, channel, supplier, and customer events.
  10. Developing and implementing sales enablement programs and sales tools that support the company’s product portfolio sales process. This includes close cooperation and collaboration with CPI’s Marketing Communications team on messaging, positioning and creating content (via presentations, web copy, videos, blog articles, white papers, and other collateral) to support key GTM strategies, as a subject matter expert (SME).
  11. Assist members of CPI’s Sales teams on calls with prospects when appropriate to provide deeper dives into product discussions.
  12. Measure and optimize the buyer’s journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage.


Technical Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Marketing, Computer Science or Technology degree a plus.
  • Minimum seven (7) years in a related product marketing position, with emphasis in technology markets highly preferred.
