Product Marketing Manager

LeanDNA’s Product Marketing Manager Role:

LeanDNA is helping solve the $150B problem that global manufacturers face–excess inventory tying up critical working capital and keeping manufacturing companies from being as efficient as they need to be. Without an effective way to optimize inventory, manufacturers are buying too much, too little, or placing inventory in the wrong place at the wrong time. Companies are stuck fighting operational fires related to critical inventory shortages, creating delays in delivering their product to customers on time.

LeanDNA’s Product Marketing Manager (PMM) is a new role and reports directly to the CEO. The PMM's main goals are to develop business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives. Serves as the internal and external evangelist for the specific product(s) or product line(s) by creating compelling messages and demonstrating benefits and capabilities. Establishes awareness and desire for the product. The role reports directly to the CEO

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop deep knowledge of our software requirements and markets, including technical and business requirements and key trends.

  • Develop strong understanding of the competitive landscape

  • Develop strong understanding of the target buyers including their needs, challenges, and decision drivers.

  • Define the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for our new product capabilities and align sales and marketing functions on the GTM strategy

    • Determine the best routes to market for a given solution, including our target accounts and their manufacturing verticals

    • Define the value proposition for the solution, taking into account buyer needs, decision drivers, and competitive differentiation

    • Define performance metrics and measures of success

    • Define the GTM approach for promoting new capabilities to the existing customer base, with the intent of increasing adoption and enabling expansion

  • Execute the product GTM strategy by coordinating cross functional efforts across the organization

  • Build relevant technical content and marketing assets for use by Account Executives and Solutions Engineering

  • Develop and execute a sales enablement plan, including the creation of sales training and sales enablement assets

  • Help build confidence and excitement around our product capabilities and roadmap within the company

  • Develop internal tools and training programs to teach sales howand when to use materials across the sale stages and buyer personas

  • Maintain an objection handling playbook from various buyer personas: leadership/finance (ROI), IT (integration, internal tools)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product marketing within the supply chain and manufacturing experience

  • 2+ years of relevant experience within enterprise software and SaaS industry

  • Demonstrated experience developing product messaging, positioning statements, and value propositions.

  • Creative problem solver that can generate innovative ideas and lead a cross-functional team of partners to drive execution.

  • Dynamic, confident personality with the ability to successfully define and drive project execution with minimal mentorship amidst multiple priorities and goals.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, breaking down silos to understand the technical aspects of our software

  • Proven ability to present effectively in front of internal, external, and global executive audiences.

  • Outstanding teammate with proven track record of leading through influence.

  • Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to lead multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively.

  • Strong communication and writing skills.

  • B.S. in Engineering preferred
