We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our growing team!
Position Overview
We are looking for a Product Marketing professional to develop and deliver differentiated product positioning, packaging, pricing and messaging that drives market success. You will be the go-to expert for your product areas, creating a deep understanding of the market landscape, trends, customer needs, and competitors. In this role you will be a strong partner with product management, sales, and demand gen marketing.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
A Day in the Life
- Craft compelling and well-defined product positioning and messaging based on today’s customer challenges that our solutions solve.
- Develop sales enablement materials to ensure that these messages are able to be shared with customers and prospects in an impactful way.
- Work in coordination with product management to support messaging and communications for product releases to ensure they are well-understood by internal stakeholders and external audiences, and are able to deliver maximum market impact.
- Serve as a key stakeholder in the demand gen campaign planning process to provide customer and market insight, share product management needs and priorities, and support development of themes for campaign assets.
- Stay in tune with customers and others in the industry to understand their current challenges and how they are getting value out of our products today.
- Understand the who, what, when, and most importantly why behind the decisions that prospects make in the buying process.
- Monitor key competitors to stay aware of their latest launches, key messaging, and where they may be headed and how we should respond.
- Partner with demand gen marketing, brand, and SEO to ensure the websites reflect the latest in product capabilities and messaging.
- Partner with PR to drive awareness of new product capabilities and other key messages through the media.
We are looking for someone who brings
- 3-5 years product marketing experience, preferably within a B2B technology organization.
- Ability to take complex and sometimes technical information and translate it into benefits and common language for internal teams, customers, and prospects.
- Strong writing skills across a wide range of mediums.
- Ability to craft impactful presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint to support sales pitches and thought leadership initiatives.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities across a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis using fact-based methodologies to support recommendations and decision making.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, journalism, marketing preferred
- A plus if you have association, events, or nonprofit experience.
