Spectra-Physics, Ophir, Newport and ESI are brands within the MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions division. We provide a full range of solutions including lasers for precision industrial and scientific research applications, laser and LED measurement, beam profiling, precision motion control, optical tables and vibration isolation systems, photonics instruments, temperature sensing, opto-mechanical components, optical elements, and systems for flexible PCB laser processing, high-speed MLCC testing, and CO2-laser-based systems HDI PCB and IC substrate manufacturing. MKS Photonics Solutions enhance our customers’ capabilities and productivity in the semiconductor, advanced electronics and specialty industrial markets.
We are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to drive the business performance of an industrial / OEM lasers product line. This exciting role involves collaboration with our Sales, R&D, Operations and other functions to grow our business and solve our customers’ most challenging problems.
What you will do is:
Salary Pay Range: $108,850 to $202,150 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable]. - Define and communicate the product line strategy, including positioning for growth in the industrial laser market
- Forecast product line volumes, revenue and margins, with sales and operations input
- Support Sales to win new OEM business and orders for revenue growth
- Contribute to the development of our product and technology roadmap, including defining the requirements and business cases for new products
- Develop an understanding of market segmentation, application and customer needs, competition, market trends and dynamics to support strategies to target new opportunities and threats
- Manage the product lifecycle including leading decisions for product changes, new models, resource priorities and eventual model obsolescence
- Create messaging and content for marketing materials including advertisements, data sheets, tradeshows, web site, PR, product memos, newsletters and collateral
- Champion the product line through presentations at conferences and assisting with tradeshows
- Minimum 5 years of product management or product marketing experience with technical products
- Experience with lasers, photonics or optics a plus
- Bachelors in Engineering or Science degrees(s) or equivalent experience
- MBA desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player and works well in complex cross-functional, global situations
- Strategic thinker / planner while adept at tactical decisions and requirements of the role
- Available for travel up to 20%
