Product Marketing Manager

Westborough, MA

Position Summary

This role plans, directs, and coordinates the development of product roadmaps, ROI models and marketing of the Front-End Power (FEP) organization's products and/or services.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development
  • Develops and recommends pricing strategy for the organization which will result in the greatest share of the market over the long run.
  • Builds and owns business cases (BC) to develop new products including engineering priorities based on best BC return.
  • Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of company products and/or services.
  • Maintains Standard Product line Ownership from Development to EOL
  • Research & Analysis
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
  • Performs on-going Gap-Analysis for Product line to:Grow Market Share
  • Replenish Product Line
  • Monitors Product line profitabilityRevenue, Margin, Cost Management
  • Performs competitive analysis on Product line

Job Duties/Responsibilities Cont.

  • Organizational Support
  • Works with Marcoms group in the production of promotional materials.
  • Ensures effective control of marketing results and that corrective action takes place to be certain that the achievement of marketing objectives are within designated budgets
  • Drives Bid activity at site level
  • Create and prepare collateral to enable sales and promote product line
  • Support Sales to ensure best product solutions are promoted to customers
  • Manages product life cycle
  • Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in electrical/electronic engineering or above or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 to 10 years related experience and/or training with product marketing and management
  • Comfortable with up to 25% travel within North America
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, or sales representatives.
