Product Marketing Manager

Job Summary

The Product Marketing Manager develops, manages, and implements marketing activities to maximize sales of an assigned line of products. This role is responsible for analyzing sales performance, competitiveness, and trends of the product line in the marketplace. Works with regional sales and marketing teams around the world to identify and implement appropriate marketing strategies. Identifies and quantifies new product opportunities based on market input and works with the Product Development organization to prioritize product development projects. Communicates new product introductions to regional sales and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and communicate product features, advantages, and benefits by collecting, analyzing, interpreting technical and market data to enable product differentiation and ensure consistency with brand objectives.
  • Identify, confirm, prioritize, and forecast new product opportunities including new or existing product extension strategies to ensure specific corporate financial, strategic, and new product objectives are met.
  • Manage product life cycle to identify when products should be introduced, how they should be marketed during growth and maturity phases, and eventually removed from the market to enable achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Direct and manage product launch activities including documentation and communication of pertinent information required for successful product launches to enable achievement of the business commitment for those products.
  • Develop and implement strategic product promotions and programs that will exceed the achievement of corporate financial objectives.
  • Communicate with business unit marketing, sales force, and customers to collect, analyze, and consolidate product and program needs into the overall product identification and selection process to ensure local needs are achieved.
  • Communicate with product development, procurement, global supply, and technical support teams throughout the product life cycle to support the development and launch of new products, and ongoing support and communication of existing product updates.
  • Work with product development and business units to identify appropriate price points for new and existing products.
  • Act as a liaison between product development and business unit sales & marketing to ensure products meet customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical product knowledge and trends that enable effective identification and communication of product feature benefits in product launch collaterals and product training.
  • Recommend, implement, and monitor, continual improvement/quality initiatives, policies, and processes to achieve quality and profitability goals.
  • Perform other projects, work and activities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or equivalent education.
  • 3+ years of product marketing experience; proven ability to manage multiple product lines with multi-million-dollar responsibility.

  • Outlook, Teams, Datawarehouse (for reporting), IFS (ERP system).
Work Environment and Physical Requirements*
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
  • Hybrid work schedule – in office Tuesday-Thursday.
