Position: Scrum Master, Sales Enablement and FCKYC Platforms

Employment Type: Permanent

Compensation Details:

  • Scrum Master 18\: Salaries typically range from $96,557 to $128,743 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.

Location: 

  • Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week. (subject to change)
  • This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, or Laval.
  • Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

 Team Overview:

The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer was established in 2023 with the mission of empowering our customers and colleagues to take on the world, by seamlessly delivering secure and reliable digital experiences.  Digital & Technology Solutions has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:

  • Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.

  • Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitate its execution across all domains in the organization.

  • Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.

  • Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.

As EDC aims to be the leader in making Canada and the World better through trade, the Digital Platform Delivery & Architecture (DPDA) group in EDC plays a critical role in enabling the business to leverage technologies by providing an easy-to-use, secure and fit-for-purpose digital business platforms.

To position ourselves for success, the Sales Enablement & FCKYC teams within DPDA are seeking a Scrum Master to guide and enable the delivery of scalable, high-performing solutions and the retirement of legacy solutions across both the sales enablement and FCKYC technology ecosystems.  The toolset currently includes Oracle Siebel, Azure AI, ServiceNow CSM, Salesforce, Genesys, and FCKYC screening and risk rating solutions.

This role will empower cross-functional teams to deliver innovative enhancements that improve sales effectiveness, streamline data management, and elevate customer engagement and compliance. You’ll facilitate collaboration on high-value projects, ensuring Agile principles guide the work and help the teams leverage both legacy and modern technologies to foster growth and innovation. What you will be doing: 

  • Clearly frame team's, adjacent teams', and matrixed/connected team's inter-connection, clarify skills and knowledge needed to succeed, and create space to empower those teams to operationalize as they see fit. Communicate openly and encourage others on team, adjacent teams, and on matrixed/connected teams to freely exchange ideas and knowledge openly.

  • Map and develop a network of diverse stakeholders, technologies, and ideas whose influence is critical to the achievement of digital plans and objectives.

  • Review existing operations in a major area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure the required continuous improvement outcomes are delivered.

  • Ensure that risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints are managed appropriately for single product or services. Where risks or issues threaten delivery, develop and agree recovery plans.

  • Lead scrum ceremonies, remove obstacles and facilitate problem-solving, collaboration and conflict resolution to enable the most effective work delivery by teams on large objectives.

  • Drive agility by constantly upskilling their own teams, and by creating a climate conducive to "testing and learning."

  • Under the direction of the Directors from the two teams, manage the budget and procurement activities within the squad(s).

What we are looking for: 

  • Completed an undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce or Business Administration.

  • Minimum 7 years as a dedicated Agile Project Manager. 

  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Agile principles, DevOps and the Scrum and Kanban Frameworks.

What will make you stand out:

  • Scrum Master and/or Project Manager certification (e.g. PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, DASSM).
  • Knowledge of AzureDevOps and Planview applications.

  • Knowledge of Sales processes and CRM solutions.

  • Knowledge of FCKYC processes and enabling technologies.

  • Bilingual in both official languages (English and French).
