Executive-Level Influence: Present findings to senior leaders and help shape decisions across product, marketing, customer experience, sales, and GTM strategies

Consultative Leadership: Partner with clients and cross-functional teams to build research programs that deliver lasting value
As a Research Consultant (we call them Research Directors internally), you’ll be the strategic mind behind driving change for leading B2B software companies. You will not only conduct research but also be a trusted advisor to executives as you bridge the gap between data and actionable insights.
A Day in the Life of a Research Consultant will Include:
Shaping and leading win-loss and churn research programs for B2B tech companies
Conducting in-depth buyer and customer interviews to uncover outcome reasons
Exploring qualitative and quantitative data to extract meaningful, actionable insights
Translating findings into compelling stories and strategic recommendations
Advising senior leaders on how to apply insights to enhance strategies
Collaborating with project managers, analysts, and editors to deliver impactful research
Successfully manage a diverse client portfolio across multiple industries
Leveraging AI tools to boost efficiency and drive research at scale
Driving client retention, loyalty, and long-term success through strategic guidance
Actively contribute to thought leadership and continuously evolving research practices
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
Brings extensive experience working in a consulting or research capacity: You have held Senior level roles at firms like Gartner, Forrester, IDC, or similar—comfortable leading research and guiding strategic conversations.
Has deep familiarity with B2B SaaS: You understand the landscape, particularly in areas like competitive intelligence, product marketing, GTM strategy, or market research.
Is a skilled interviewer and researcher: You know how to ask the right questions, synthesize themes, and turn conversations into insight-rich narratives.
Has a strong executive presence: You’re professional, confident, and able to engage a room of executives with compelling presentations.
Is curious and analytical: You thrive on solving complex problems, digging into data, uncovering trends, and making connections others might miss.
Operates with precision and autonomy: You’re detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple research programs while maintaining high standards.
Embraces AI and research tech: You leverage AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini.
Is both a team player and a leader: You know when to collaborate, when to take initiative, and how to drive research projects forward with impact.
How We Work at Klue:
Hybrid. Best of both worlds (remote & in-office) You and your team will be in the office 2 days a week.
Our main Canadian hubs are in Vancouver and Toronto, and most of our teams are located in EST and PST.
