Job Summary: |
The Product Marketing Specialist will be responsible for helping to drive sales conversion metrics across all of our sales channels. You will spend the bulk of your time creating written collateral that helps our salespeople articulately and concisely convey the firm’s value propositions and competitive differentiators. This will fall into two categories: Proactive: You will help to identify current gaps, opportunities, and priorities for arming salespeople with the collateral they need to win over the next 6-18 months, and then work directly with the VP, Product Marketing & Sales Enablement to create these materials. Reactive: You will also quickly respond to ad hoc and often time-sensitive requests from salespeople who need assistance with an upcoming (or even in-progress) meeting. Common sales collateral includes PowerPoint presentations, email copy, brochures, one-pagers, graphics, and some multimedia. While a graphic design team is available to assist with advanced graphics needs, you should be generally comfortable putting together your own materials with limited or no assistance. |
Essential Job Functions for this role include: |
• PowerPoint: Very high proficiency. You’ll routinely build 5-10 decks per week, using a combination of existing content and new content you create. You will need to understand formatting functionality, how to work with imported tables and graphics from Excel, permissions and sharing, and basic design principles. • Excel: Related to the above, you will be creating most of your own charts, tables, and graphics in Excel for later use in PowerPoint decks or other materials. • Writing: You will need to briefly summarize situations and concepts in short written form, whether for slides, one-pagers, or emails. The broader Marketing Team has a team of writers responsible for long-form content, much of which you will be able to leverage. • Speaking and Training: As new materials are created, you’ll meet with our sales teams to explain how these materials can be used, where to find them, and to gather feedback for future iterations. • Travel: You should expect to occasionally travel for team events or to meet with salespeople in local offices. As you are getting up to speed in your first six months, this likely means 2-4 days of travel per month. After your first six months, the frequency is likely half of this (i.e. 2-4 days every other month). |
Requirements: |
• Wealth Management Experience: You should have at least 3-5 years of experience in wealth management, preferably working with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients. • Product Marketing or Marketing Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience. • Sales Experience: Although not required, prior sales experience is a big plus and will help you to ramp up more quickly. Understanding the challenges and needs of our salespeople will be a key success driver. • Bachelor’s degree or higher. |
