Role Description:The Product Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to clearly promote our product offerings, enhance customer engagement, and drive revenue growth. This role is designed for a mid-level professional with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, particularly within B2B SaaS. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including product, sales, and customer success, and work with external partners to ensure alignment and maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Launches: Plan and execute product launches from strategy to messaging, channel strategy, and measurement; collaborating with product, sales, and CS.
- Content Creation: Create compelling content (whitepapers, newsletters, blog posts, case studies, videos, etc.) to communicate product benefits and drive awareness. Ensure content is tailored for different audiences, including customers, prospects, and partners.
- Partner Enablement: Collaborate with key partners to ensure they have the necessary tools, training, and resources to sell and market the products effectively. Develop partner enablement programs to increase product adoption and market reach.
- Marketing Communications: Develop and implement integrated marketing communication plans. Manage product messaging, positioning, and campaign execution across multiple channels, including email, social media calendar, webinars, and event management.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Collaborate with internal teams and conduct market research to stay on top of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use insights to refine product positioning and messaging.
- Performance Tracking: Measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives using relevant KPIs and provide actionable insights for optimization. Report on the success of product marketing programs to the COO and executive team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, product management, customer success, and other internal teams to ensure marketing efforts align with company goals and product roadmaps.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Marketing Experience: 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally within B2B SaaS organizations.
- Service Industry Experience: Knowledge of service industry or strong desire to learn about these topics quickly.
- Execution-oriented: You’re able to balance strategic vision and operational excellence, from setting high-level team strategy to getting in the weeds planning launches and doing competitive research.
- Copy Writing Skills: Strong writing skills, with experience developing long-form and short-form content, and can point to examples of both. Partner Enablement: Proven track record of developing co-marketing tactics and enablement for partners to enable them with the tools and resources necessary for successful product promotion and sales.
- Marketing Breadth: You understand campaign, channel, content, and comms strategy in addition to product marketing strategy
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, track key performance metrics, and use insights to optimize marketing efforts.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with Salesforce, modern marketing tools / AI, platforms, and trends.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
