Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager with a strong background in product marketing for the aerospace and defense sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing technology products in data analytics and databases, AI, and machine learning, or similar tech sectors. This role will be pivotal in driving our product strategy, defining market positioning, and leading go-to-market executions for our advanced vector AI and time series database products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to development of and execution of product marketing strategy and value proposition for our suite of solutions in the identified market area
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to align product features, roadmaps, and customer needs.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the aerospace and defense market in relation to AI, data analytics, and database technologies.
- Create compelling product messaging and positioning that resonates with target audiences, differentiates our products in the market, and articulates the unique benefits and capabilities of our technology.
- Lead go-to-market planning and execution for product launches, including cross-functional coordination with product, sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
- Support analyst relations program through briefing preparation, research submission, and inquiry support.
- Support Product-Led growth team with market expertise, influencer program collaboration, and community activities.
- Collaborate with Content Marketing team to craft and develop high-quality content such as whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, website content, and sales enablement materials.
- Support Demand Generation team in campaigns for lead acquisition and product adoption.
- Provide training and support to sales teams, enabling them to effectively communicate the value proposition and benefits of the products to customers. Lead Voice of Customer initiatives to learn from target personas in support of messaging and product needs.
- Monitor and report on product marketing metrics, analyze campaign effectiveness, and optimize strategies based on performance.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of product marketing experience in an aerospace & defense tech industry, preferably with data analytics, database products, AI/ML, or related software.
- Proven ability to develop creative and impactful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Strong understanding of time series databases, with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer value.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and presenting complex information clearly.
- Experience with product launch planning and execution, and familiarity with marketing automation and analytics tools.
- A collaborative mindset and experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and data-driven, comfortable with making decisions based on metrics and KPIs.
