If you are a Product Marketing professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson Power and Water Solutions (PWS) has an excellent opportunity!  As the Product Marketing Manager - AI, where you will promote AI applications on the Ovation Intelligence Framework. This role plays a pivotal part in achieving value across our power and water customer base by increasing adoption, improving control systems, and developing outstanding, revenue-generating solutions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of AI applications -- from conceptualization through market adoption -- ensuring they tackle real-world customer challenges and drive long-term recurring revenue. This position can be located in our Charlotte, NC, Cranberry Township, PA, St. Louis, MO, or Tinley Park, IL office.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

AI & Application Strategy

  • Recommend a comprehensive product roadmap for AI‑powered applications that advances customer value and aligns with Emerson’s strategic vision.
  • Identify customer challenges and integrate emerging technologies to define high‑value use cases in areas such as renewables integration and process optimization.

New Product Development 

  • Develop business plans and product requirements informed by market research and customer feedback.
  •  Ensure AI and software‑based applications are designed around specific customer needs, driving adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Create marketing collateral, release communications, and training materials for new product launches.

Application Commercialization

  • Lead a cross‑functional team to build and execute Go‑to‑Market plans, ensuring strong product‑market fit and customer value.
  • Run new product introduction programs that support early adoption and benchmark‑level performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Software Development, and Customer Success teams to convert pilots into long‑term subscriptions and contribute to ARR growth.
  • Support technical selling through customer presentations that connect product capability with operational value.
  • Provide global support for new product and application releases, empowering world‑area teams to expand their sales funnel.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build strong internal partnerships with Development, Sales, and Project teams to foster alignment and accelerate innovation.
  • Engage customers, utilities, and industry groups to gather insights, define product direction, and promote thought leadership.
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop plans that increase market awareness and demand generation.
  • Serve as a key voice for the product’s value proposition and differentiation, synthesizing input across internal and external stakeholders.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including experience in process engineering, marketing, or business development
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with AI applications and solutions.
  • Ability to interpret market dynamics, customer feedback, and emerging technology trends.
  • Ability to travel up to 20-30%.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • 10+ years in technology leadership, ideally in power generation, utilities, or industrial automation.
  • Proven success delivering AI, analytics, or software applications with measurable commercial impact.
  • Understanding of control systems (DCS/SCADA), AI/ML frameworks, and software development processes.
  • Familiarity with Emerson’s Ovation™ platform and related application ecosystems.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $130,000- 187,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
