Job Summary & Responsibilities

Role Overview

This role is responsible for driving the product strategy for Onto Innovation’s metrology portfolio. As a senior product marketing leader, you will define the product, own the long‑term roadmap, and lead the global Go‑to‑Market (GTM) strategy to ensure successful penetration, adoption, and revenue growth across logic, memory, specialty and advanced packaging customers.

You will partner closely with Product Management, R&D, Applications, and Sales to translate market needs into product requirements, define competitive differentiation, and bring new capabilities to market with strong commercial success. This role is highly cross‑functional and strategically influential, shaping Onto Innovation’s product portfolio for future technology nodes.

Key Responsibilities

Market & Competitive Strategy

  • Own the product marketing strategy for OCD metrology products, models, and software
  • Translate customer requirements, competitive dynamics, and market trends into clear MRDs
  • Lead prioritization of roadmap features, capabilities, and long‑term technology direction
  • Partner with Product management, and R&D teams on feasibility, architecture, and program alignment and OCD roadmap
  • Map the competitive landscape across metrology categories
  • Identify whitespace and expansion opportunities across FEOL, BEOL, AP and specialty market

Product Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop differentiated value propositions for OCD solutions
  • Translate complex OCD modeling, sensitivity, and accuracy concepts into customer value
  • Define messaging around CD accuracy, precision, throughput, model robustness, and CoO
  • Own product positioning, naming, and messaging consistency across regions

Go-to-Market Planning

  • Lead global GTM strategy for new OCD platforms, model enhancements, and node insertions
  • Drive product launch execution in close partnership with regional account team
  • Collaborate on pricing, packaging strategies for OCD products
  • Support customer adoption strategies for high-volume manufacturing (HVM)

Sales Enablement & Customer Engagement

  • Develop sales and technical enablement materials including value stories, application notes, and competitive battlecards
  • Train sales, applications, and field teams on OCD positioning and competitive differentiation
  • Support key customer engagements, escalations, and executive-level reviews at leading fabs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Management, Apps, and R&D to ensure execution against roadmap
  • Align with Sales leadership on account strategies and strategic penetration
  • Work with Finance to build business cases, revenue forecasts, and margin models
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications on GTM assets, campaigns, and external content

Qualifications

Technical Foundation

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or technical marketing

Preferred

  • Experience supporting leading logic, foundry, or memory customers
  • Knowledge of GAA, 3D NAND, 3D DRAM and Advanced Packaging integration challenges
  • Technical credibility in metrology and semiconductor manufacturing
  • Ability to translate complex modeling concepts into customer value
  • Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline
  • Global mindset and cross-functional leadership

Compensation & Growth

• Base Salary Range:

$155,200.00 - $232,800.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
