TEAM LEADERSHIP: - Lead and mentor a team of Engineering Program Managers, QA Engineers and Conversational Designers / Prompt Engineers (based in Cupertino and Singapore), providing guidance, support and professional development opportunities - Foster a collaborative, innovative, and learning-oriented team culture. - Streamline processes, onboard tools, and optimize resource planning. - Proactively identify and mitigate risks. BUSINESS & TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP: - Deep understanding of Conversational AI and GenAI within the Commerce domain. - Stay updated on industry advancements and identify relevant technologies. - Quickly learn new technologies. - Collaborate with ML and SWE teams to build future-proof products. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTION: - Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to optimization. - Find opportunities for Conversational and Generative AI in Channel Sales. - Set engineering goals for the Channel Sales AIML Platform suite. - Create product documentation and presentations. - Strong understanding of ML/SWE and UX principles. - Manage multiple GenAI product developments in a fast-paced environment. MULTI-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION: - Resolve conflicts and alignment issues. - Build relationships across Channel Sales, AIML, SWE, and other organizations. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: - Define critical metrics to measure the performance of AI-powered products. - Monitor and analyze performance data for continuous improvement. - Advocate for data-driven decision-making.


  • 10+ years in Machine Learning and Software Engineering, with successful launches of large-scale consumer-facing Commerce products globally.
  • 5+ years leading engineering program, ops, and conversational experience teams.
  • Experience collaborating with design and engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Experience launching AI-powered products.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to distill information for various audiences.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Python and software development.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Meticulous and strategic problem solver.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field.


  • Experience building relationships within Apple teams.
  • Understanding of Apple culture, tools, and processes.
  • Experience setting up new processes, tools, and KPIs.
  • Experience as a Chief of Staff for an AI Product Engineering team.


At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $228,100 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
