Huntsman is seeking a Global Market Intelligence Lead supporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Communications Director.


Job Scope


The Global Market Intelligence Lead is driving our global Market Intelligence strategy across all 3 regions for our Performance Products division. The role is based in The Woodlands, Texas, reporting to the Communications Director. The GMI Lead will be responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and analyzing market intelligence from both internal and external platforms to support our business growth and product innovation strategies.


As The Global Market Intelligence Lead You Will


  • As Global Market Intelligence Lead, the candidate will be responsible for the development & implementation of a global market intelligence methodology for the purposes of guiding key business decisions within a cross functional & multiregional organization.
  • Create, analyze, and communicate a concise, actionable, reliable, and timely analysis of markets and competitive intelligence related to our key product lines.
  • Compile monthly market reports that provide clear guidance on making business decisions. Be clear on how the market information relates to the Performance Products business units.
  • Follow and consolidate market outlooks for current and future markets, including on megatrends, the chemical industry as well as on specific market sectors.
  • Identify and track key indicators that provide an indication of future performance for select markets.
  • Own and continuously update the market and competitive intelligence information by using external and internal information sources and platforms.
  • Supporting value pricing process in close collaboration with the Sales teams.
  • Drive the market and competitive intelligence data gathering process and engage the organization to support the data feed.
  • To support regional marketing and sales teams to identify growth opportunities within their market segment using your market research expertise and network.
  • Become the expert on market and competitive intelligence tools, processes and visualization techniques for the business.
  • Create a network within the global marketing community to stay up-to-date with the latest and future developments in Performance Products and other divisions.


Required Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or economics with 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience gathering market intelligence within the chemical, or similar, B2B sector.
  • IBM Planning Analytics and Power BI


Skills & Knowledge


  • Excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external networks.
  • Good understanding of marketing principals and/or market research methodologies and statistical analysis.
  • Highly ambitious with the ability to develop in the role and move into team management positions in the future.
  • Driven and focused personality with the ability to adapt well in a fast-moving and Description.
  • Experience in data-mining and interactive data gathering platforms is advantageous.
