The Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Marketing person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, and executing marketing strategies to drive awareness, adoption and revenue growth for Fishbowl software products. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Product Marketing will define, communicate, and execute cohesive Go-to-market strategies with a focus on enhancing Fishbowl’s product marketing approach and infrastructure. You’ll roll up your sleeves in partnership with the CMO to deeply understand and research our core ICPs, market segments, competitors, pricing and packaging. You’ll focus on driving increased adoption at time of product release, help the team expand revenue though upsell opportunities, and leverage your expertise to build and execute rock-solid GTM strategies. The Director of Product Marketing will craft product messaging and positioning to emphasize ROI, value and differentiation of Fishbowl products in comparison to the competition. You’ll build and lead a high-performing team that owns all Product Marketing for Fishbowl, and Fishbowl international segments, related programs, strategies, and budget that contributes to Fishbowl’s monthly, quarterly, and annual, revenue and EBITDA goals.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who is comfortable helping generate world-class assets such as, sales decks, case studies, product overviews, and more. They will leverage data to create actionable insights and continuously improve our customer journey. The Director, Product Marketing will adapt messaging and positioning to appeal to international markets and will effectively communicate and partner with our sales and product teams every step of the way.

ResponsibilitiesGo-To-Market Strategy:


  • Build, Lead, and communicate our go-to-market strategy and roadmap for new products, services, features, and markets.
  • Manage deep partnership with revenue teams identify opportunities that translate into revenue opportunities at scale and synthesize prospect and customer feedback from sales and account management cycles to educate product roadmap, go-to-market strategy, and messaging
  • Work closely with the product development team to translate product features into benefits and solutions and provide key market feedback to aid in future product development and road mapping.
  • Take part in the Horizon Release Process, helping to unify and align product management and product marketing throughout the product delivery process.
  • Rally and manage contributions from other key participants across the organization, supporting the successful execution of our GTM efforts.


Positioning:


  • Develop differentiated messaging, positioning, and value propositions for new and existing products.
  • Become the in-house expert on the competitive landscape, educate the go-to-market team, and develop competitive positioning talking points and strategies.
  • Collaborate with in-house creators including writers, designers, and videographers to create compelling content.
  • Market Analysis:Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Utilize insights to inform product positioning and differentiation strategies.
  • Become the internal thought-leader on our target customers and competitive landscape. Leverage quantitative/ qualitative insights.


Messaging:


  • Create messaging frameworks based on deep customer and competitive insights that optimize our full customer journey to help Fishbowl gain more market share and in-month customers.


Sales Enablement:


  • Identify and develop enablement content such as sales decks, talk tracks, one pagers, call scripts, battlecards, and case studies to improve lead to close rates.


Lifecycle Messaging:


  • Support product and sales through developing resources, materials, and in-app messaging to improve product and feature adoption.
  • Partner with customer marketing on upsell campaigns by identifying key product usage patterns that translate into new opportunitie
  • Customer Advocacy:Cultivate strong relationships with customers and gather information from customers to provide feedback to inform development and marketing strategies. Identify and leverage customer success stories and testimonials to drive advocacy and brand loyalty.


Data:


  • Leverage data and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance Fishbowl’s messaging, research, competitive intel, and GTM approaches.
  • QualificationsMinimum of 7+ years' experience of software product marketing with proven track record of executing full end-to-end, successful GTM launches for SaaS based businesses.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience marketing internationally.
  • Deep acumen in industry best practices, competitive benchmarks, and innovative GTM strategies in a SaaS B2B environment.
  • Recognized leader for driving excellent financial results while building a positive work environment.
  • Experience in building the PMM function within an organization, inclusive of frameworks, infrastructure, people, and education.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to influence and motivate team members, especially those that do not report to you.
  • Extraordinary experience establishing strategies, metrics, and execution plans that enable core focus on performance across the organization (especially in partnership with sales).
  • Experience using tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, Chili Piper, Google Analytics, AdWords, Click-up, Asana, Unbounce, DOMO, Social Media platforms, and WordPress.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • High EQ.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to use data to test and optimize campaign performance and inform future strategies and decision making.
  • Track record of successfully working cross functionally with Product, Sales, Support and Implementation teams to create customer feedback loops and
  • Strong copywriting skills and ability to craft personas and messaging frameworks.
  • Deep experience with customer research and conducting ethnographies.
  • Strong understanding of B2B customer journey and how to tailor content and messages to specific roles within the organization.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience developing sales enable materials and training sales teams as part of the GTM execution process.
