Director, Competitive Intelligence

Cornerstone is hiring for a Director, Competitive Intelligence to join the company. This role will be responsible for driving our competitive intelligence strategy, leading a team of Competitive Analysts and building programs that support the broader organisation’s needs. The Director, Competitive Intelligence is a remote position and part of the Marketing team, reporting to the VP, Product Marketing.


  • Strategy, development of, and execution of all competitive intelligence collection and synthesis related to the Talent Management landscape
  • Lead and develop team of Competitive Intelligence Analysts and manage any contractor/supplier relationships pertaining to function
  • Support the business as a subject matter expert of the Talent Management landscape, emerging trends, and how Cornerstone competes
  • Collaborate with executive management to build competitive reports and presentations on market positioning, opportunity, fit and pricing
  • Build a robust network of sustained programs that supply various audiences with the intelligence that they need to perform their job
  • Design and drive programs that tailor competitive intelligence analysis and translations to unique teams within the organisation
  • Manage, plan, and execute company competitive intelligence analysis and translating findings into implications/recommendations
  • Collaborate with analyst relations team on analyst strategy and support
  • Establish and maintain methodological approach, structure, and techniques to seek insights on win/loss, and partner across the business to utilise the insights in business decisions
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert in competitive intelligence as a field of practice, and maintain awareness of industry trends and developments
  • Use creative techniques to gather information, and synthesise it into conclusions, implications, and recommendations


  • At least 8 years of experience in competitive intelligence and analysis, including at a senior level
  • Undergraduate degree in related field
  • Direct experience in the Talent Management/HR Tech space
  • Strong people leadership and team development skills
  • Demonstrated experience building scalable competitive intelligence programs with proven organisational impact
  • Exceptional ability to synthesise information and create tailored recommendations
  • Ability to partner at multiple levels of the organisation
