Competitive Intelligence, Senior Manager

Collibra is seeking a Senior Manager to lead our cross-functional Competitive Intelligence & Market (CMI) initiatives. You will oversee orchestrating all CMI initiatives in close collaboration with multiple teams at Collibra — including gathering and analyzing data, proactively researching specific competitors, working closely with the field to gather field intelligence, delivering actionable field enablement tools, and understanding the overall trends in the data intelligence market to support Collibra’s growth. The ideal candidate will have a technical background with a deep understanding of the data intelligence market and competitor landscape.


Senior Managers, Competitive & Market Intelligence at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Developing a deep understanding of Collibra’s product portfolio and competitor landscape.
  • Partnering with the Product Marketing team and delivering actionable and current competitive updates to the sales and pre-sales organizations.
  • Leading as the voice of the win/loss program, conducting direct interviews and distilling lost/churned insights to help improve go-to-market and product development efforts.
  • Maintaining competitive decks, battle cards, playbooks, SWOT, win/loss analysis, etc and translating competitive insights into actionable field enablement tools.
  • Conducting primary and secondary research, analyzing information, data synthesizing and creating compelling content for executive presentations, feature matrices, pricing comparisons, etc.
  • Supporting the definition of pricing and packaging in collaboration with product and pricing teams.
  • Working closely with the GTM organization to bring field intelligence back into our content and beat key competitors in deals (i.e. lead a Win Room initiative).
  • Collaborating with product, marketing and sales leadership in defining competitive positioning and understanding relevant technology advancements from competitors.

You Have

  • 8+ years of technology experience in SaaS enterprise software, ideally within the data intelligence and/or data management spaces.
  • 5+ years of experience in product, product marketing, competitive intelligence, strategy, or sales engineering roles.
  • Strong market research, quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Built and implemented competitive intelligence programs and sales tools.
  • Engaged directly with enterprise customers and a large partner organization.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience. Having a technical background is a must.

  • Effective in working with sales, pre-sales, sales operations, sales enablement, product, product marketing and customer success.
  • A precise communicator who is comfortable presenting and a team player.
  • Skilled in leading cross-functional teams to achieve goals under tight deadlines.


Measures Of Success Are

  • Within your first month, you will learn our products, competitors and go-to-market.
  • Within your third month, you will lead Win Room initiatives and build a competitive intelligence program plan and start to execute it.
  • Within your sixth month, you will optimize and scale the competitive intelligence program.

Compensation for this role


The standard base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $209,000 per year. This position is eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.


In addition to base salary, we offer equity ownership at every level, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401k plans, and more.
