Devo is a privately held, hyper-growth cloud-native logging and security analytics company, and we are looking for a Competitive Intelligence Manager to arm our go-to-market team with competitive insights to achieve the sales win. We are looking for a highly-motivated, organized, and competitive self-starter who is passionate about cybersecurity, building strong connections with our sellers, and making a positive impact on organizations and the community worldwide.


You will be charged with researching our competition and packaging up insights for our sellers to use in their sales pursuits. You will ensure our competitive knowledge is pervasive across Devo including sales, partner, product management, customer success, and marketing teams. You will also influence our product messaging to emphasize Devo’s differentiation relative to our competitors. A positive, curious, and can-do attitude is a must, while also being able to have fun while we are disrupting the cybersecurity market.


Responsibilities:


  • Continuous research of Devo’s key competitors to understand their product and sales strategies and how they evolve over time
  • Package up actionable competitive intelligence in easily consumable formats for our go-to-market teams
  • Enable our go-to-market teams with timely competitive intelligence to directly influence their sales pursuits
  • Measure the effectiveness of our competitive intelligence across the go-to-market teams and innovate as necessary to meet evolving team needs
  • Directly support the go-to-market teams in sales pursuits
  • Provide product management, customer success, and marketing teams with competitive intelligence findings
  • Influence product messaging and positioning based on synthesized competitive research


Qualifications:


  • Excellent written and oral skills; ability to present yourself professionally, represent Devo well, while still being personable and approachable
  • Demonstrable ability to create compelling content for sales
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Self-starter - able to navigate own path to success rather than needing extensive direction
  • Willingness to try something new, think big, and advocate for their ideas
  • Able to take ownership of projects, realizing high-quality outcomes
  • Ability to persist and find work-arounds in spite of occasional setbacks and challenges
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail


Experience and Education:


  • 5+ years experience in product marketing, technical marketing, sales, pre-sales or technical account management in the enterprise B2B software industry; security market preferred
  • Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, and security analytics solutions
  • BA/BS degree
  • Proficient user of Office Suite, G Suite

The provided base salary range is what we expect to pay a substantially qualified candidate, with final offer being based on the candidate’s relevant experience and skills. Total compensation for the role will include base salary, as well as a bonus or commission target and an equity grant applicable to the level of the role.
