The Gogo Business Aviation Competitive Intelligence Analyst will lead collection and internal dissemination of market and field insights to analyze market behavior to educate and/or inform internal stakeholders with the primary goal of influencing strategic or tactical decisions made by Gogo senior leaders. The Analyst will gather, analyze, and distribute intelligence on products, market conditions, competitors, and customers for business decision-making. Develop solutions and provide actionable recommendations.
You will work closely with marketing teams to ensure competitive differentiation for the company product, messaging, web content, campaigns, and corporate marketing content. Do you like to use data to tell a story? You will provide intelligence to inform strategic and business development initiatives and marketing efforts, and to uncover key, actionable information for business development strategy.

How will you make a difference?
- Utilize multiple sources of information across business aviation and connectivity verticals to monitor competition, markets, customers, products, product services and available pricing and curate for internal stakeholders to include but not limited to Gogo Senior Leadership, Marketing, Sales and Product Management
- Formalize process and tools to automate or collect and curate (parse) the data in a clear, concise format for dissemination
- Establish relationships with Gogo market facing teams and establish bidirectional formal and informal communication of field insights to the organization
- Use industry knowledge to ascertain quality of the field insights and sound judgment to determine relevance to Gogo before communicating to internal stakeholders
- Employ said judgement to gauge the importance of field insights to route and balance communication urgency to the appropriate internal channels
- Provide ad-hoc market analyses and assessments in response to support internal requests and in support of planning and execution of strategic priorities
- Carefully document sources of information for easy recall
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Communications, Business Administration, Analytics, Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience primarily in business aviation entities such as an aircraft OEM, MRO, Aircraft Operator, Connectivity Service Provider, or related business aviation industry
Required Skills, Experience and Talents
- Strong proficiency in statistical or financial analysis
- Experience with or demonstrated understanding of Porter's Five Forces Framework
- Maximize use of automation to generate accurate and repeatable results
- Knowledge of various types of industry publications, print, software, and social media to maximize collection of field insights
- Collaborate with Business Development, Product and Marketing organizations to perform provide insights on competitive product positioning based on field insights or observations
Desired Skills, Experience and Talents
- Experience with mining data
- Experience with conducting or analysis of surveys
- Proficiency with SQL language and business intelligence tools would be an asset
- Comfort with social engagement in the collection of field insights
- Previous experience working with or knowledge of aviation wireless networks
- Effective verbal and written communicator with the ability to work with various stakeholders to understand business key roles and tailor dissemination of field insights based on relevance and priority
- Utilize uncompromising judgement, integrity and ethical standards in collection and dissemination of field insights
- Attend industry events and tradeshows and collaborate with other Gogo attendees to prepare and publish comprehensive internal reports with insights on information gleaned
- Effectively prioritize tasks and projects
- Tactfully challenge decisions or assumptions that are not consistent with data
- Ability to work independently to clarify requests, collect and process data from new and existing sources, driving towards completion of stated goals, seeking information and guidance where required

Base Pay: 62,800.00 - 78,500.00 USD Annual
