Clean Product Marketing Manager

Tacoma, WA

The Role

Reporting into the Supply and Trading commercial group, your primary focus will be sales and marketing of fuel products produced at our Tacoma Washington refinery. You will work to grow business through new customer development, existing customer improvements, and expanding the Par Pacific supply distribution footprint. As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will:

  • Identify and solicit new business opportunities through existing and new partners.
  • Participate in frequent customer engagements to develop and maintain long term relationships.
  • Attend Marketing related conferences and other industry events.
  • Oversee wholesale product pricing strategies and collaborate ideas with management.
  • Gather a firm understanding of market dynamics and competitor landscape to identify opportunities and vulnerabilities to volume and margin performance.
  • Manage performance and development of commercial analyst accountable for wholesale product pricing and provide backfill support as needed.
  • Facilitate the collaboration and communication with cross functional teams regarding price strategy and market changes.
  • Monitor and communicate monthly fuel sales performance and maintain product sales outlook to inform operational and financial planning processes.
  • Respond to customer issues and questions regarding, pricing, credit, supply etc.
  • Be the primary contact for truck rack and lab personnel regarding any non-credit related customer or product issues.
  • Negotiate competitive sales agreements.
  • Develop forecasts to achieve sales goals.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of all regulations that impact product pricing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Requirements

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Clean Product Marketing Manager opportunity, you will have:

  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business-related field preferred
  • Knowledge of industry terminology is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to set priorities, multitask, and resolve problems with a high sense of urgency
  • Travel is required

Pay Range:

$107,894 – $161,841 per year


Benefits:

Full-time employees (and their families) are offered medical (with prescription), dental, vision, voluntary critical illness, accident, life/AD&D insurance, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Employee Assistance Program. Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan and are able to purchase company stock at discounted prices. Salaried employees are eligible for Unlimited Paid Time Off and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year.


Other Compensation:

Employee is eligible for an annual incentive program targeted as 15% of annual pay based upon both company financial performance and individual performance to goals.
