Associate Manager - Product Marketing

The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the Product Marketing Team at nCino. This critical role will require a deep understanding of all aspects of the nCino Bank Operating System, its solutions and features, the financial services industry from broad trends and research down to specific roles at an institution, and the nCino ten billion dollar brand. This role will also be responsible for attracting, growing and retaining talent, managing personnel, budgets, process, goals, and relationships between all Product Marketing stakeholders including sales, marketing teams, and product managers. Based on the requirements for this role, the ideal person will have the ability to be a player/coach by effectively managing the team, project managing the various projects and priorities, and delivering their own individual projects at the highest quality. Previous experience in product marketing, managing teams, the financial services industry and at a software company are required . The Product Marketing Manager will report directly to the VP of Product Enablement and GTM.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all Product Marketing materials represent nCino's Ten Billion Dollar Brand philosophy
  • Develop a deep understanding of the nCino Banking Operating System, its Solutions and Features to guide the development and updates of all Product Marketing materials and product marketing strategy
  • Ensure strong relationships with the nCino Product Managers, and all Sales and Marketing Teams
  • Research product segments to guide industry analyses and target market sizing reports
  • Perform detailed analyses of competitors and become expert in the ever-changing competitor landscape
  • Developing go-to market plans for each product/feature to drive revenue and increase market share
  • Ensure all sales and product presentations serve their purpose and goals in the sales process
  • Lead a team in developing product marketing collateral on products and features including brochures, feature documents, video scripts, and other relevant materials for use by Sales, Product Managers, Executives, Partners and Marketing at nCino
  • Continually research the banking and credit union industries to stay current on the latest trends, news, research and analysis
  • Work with team to create Sales Enablement materials to assist the nCino Sales Team on selling products and solutions
  • Ensure Sales has ROI calculators for each solution
  • Be able to demo the nCino Bank Operating System and all of its Solutions
  • Work cross functionally within Marketing and across multiple nCino departments, customers, partners and prospects to identify and scope product marketing projects
  • Develop annual and quarterly goals for the Product Marketing Team in alignment with the broader Marketing, Sales and Product goals, and ensure goals are tracked and met
  • Responsible for managing the Product Marketing Team budget and spend
  • Develop and grow the Product Marketing Team through professional development and hiring.


Candidate Skills
Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or comparable field plus 4 years minimum of functional experience or an equivalent combination of experience, education and superior performance.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and communication/presentation skills
  • Data mining expertise and the ability to draw conclusions and recommendations from complex data and cross-reference multiple data sets
  • Proven track record of writing industry reports/analyses and monitoring industry trends and news
  • Experience doing competitor analysis and forming ROI calculators for products
  • Motivated to achieve and exceed metrics and revenue goals related to products
  • Proven track record of designing and writing marketing copy and content
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle deadlines and prioritize work in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to evaluate product marketing requests from various stakeholders, develop project plans, constantly prioritize and act as the main point of contact for the Product Marketing Team
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, motivated, self-starter with the ability to use their own initiative to complete the task on time with high quality.
  • Strong presentation skills and a wiz at building PowerPoints
  • Ideal:
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven researcher with expertise in bank subsectors
Desired:
  • Prior management experience
  • MBA or graduate related marketing degree
